Your loved one’s independence is important to all of us. Broadmead Care is delighted to offer a wide range of Adult Day Programs that give access for seniors living in their own homes to health, social, respite, and recreational services. For our WWII and post-war veterans, the Veteran’s Health Centre provides a wide range of services to promote health and independence in a warm, social atmosphere.

Why Adult Day Programs?
We have seen firsthand the difference adult day programs make in the lives of seniors who live in their own homes. Adult day programs can help combat isolation and loneliness that people sometimes face by providing a social network, and access to information and education sessions, nutrition and foot care, discussion groups, and games or activities designed to engage both body and mind. We create an environment in which all can experience the joy of living, with wellbeing and happiness.
How Adult Day Programs Help You
Adult Day Programs promote health and independence for your loved one, offering a welcoming, social atmosphere. The benefits are two-fold. They offer an opportunity for the elderly living in the community, who are no longer able to attend formalized recreation or social programs, to attend a program that provides them with a safe and inclusive environment, creating an opportunity for clients to engage with others. And they provide much-needed support and respite for those who are caring for loved ones at home. This allows our clients to live at home as long as possible.
My father was a resident of Rest Haven Lodge since December 2020. We are very pleased to have chosen Rest Haven Lodge as dad’s home for the final stage of his life, and have been extremely impressed with the level of care and support he has received from the care team. The care we experienced at Rest Haven Lodge is among the best we have experienced.

Among the best care we have received
Alex lived at Broadmead Care and he passed away September 18, 2021, following a battle with Parkinson’s Disease. During his stay the care he received from the nursing and care staff was exemplary. They were always so caring and treated Alex with respect. Staff were always there for our family as well, and for that we are grateful. Thank you for everything and we were so fortunate that Alex was able to spend his final days in your amazing Care Home. January 9, 2022

“It is not how much you do, but how much love you put in the doing. We saw this in action … and we are all thankful that [Mom’s] final years were pleasant ones with you.”

On behalf of my father, I want to extend my heart-felt thanks to each and every one of you for your kindness, caring and professionalism over the course of my father’s move into [Beckley Farm Lodge]. From the very first day, my mother and I were so touched at the genuine compassion you all showed and impressed with your competence. We were so worried about this transition, and thanks in large part to each of you it went better than I could have possibly hoped.
