Eden Gardens offers a comprehensive and diverse program of social, recreational, and therapeutic programs to those who come into our Home for our Adult Day Program, or who access our community bathing program.

Eden Gardens offers three community-oriented programs that serve approximately 160 people with dementia per month, who live in their own home:

  • Daybreak (9:30 am — 2:15 pm, Monday through Friday) — This program is for people with dementia who live in their own home, or with family members. Daybreak provides a comfortable transition and ease of integration into a long term care home environment. Interaction with peers in a safe and friendly environment can be life changing!
  • Stepping Stones (11:00 am — 3:15 pm, Monday through Friday) — This program is designed to bring social interaction and appropriate activities in a smaller setting, which might be more comfortable for some people.
  • Community Bathing — Provides hygiene services to people in the community who are unable to bathe or have difficulty bathing at home.

Access to the Adult Day Program at Eden Gardens is by referral through Island Health. The bathing and day programs are funded by Island Health. There is a small charge to participants of $6 per day for the Adult Day programs, and $5 for the Community Bathing program, to help cover additional costs.
