Broadmead Care Society is pleased to announce the acquisition of Victoria Chinatown Care Centre, furthering the organization’s commitment to enhancing person-centred care for seniors across Vancouver Island.
Located in the heart of Chinatown, Victoria Chinatown Care Centre is a 31-bed long term care home. Through this acquisition, it will join Broadmead Care’s family of non-profit care homes, bringing together two organizations with a shared commitment to excellence in care, dignity, and wellbeing.
“Our focus is on ensuring the people who live at Victoria Chinatown Care Centre continue to receive the exceptional care they know and trust,” said Derrick Bernardo, Chief Executive Officer of Broadmead Care Society. “This acquisition reflects Broadmead Care’s commitment to person-centred care that honours each person’s story, upholds dignity, and ensures people and families feels valued.”
People living at Victoria Chinatown Care Centre will continue to receive uninterrupted care, and there will be no immediate changes to daily operations. Broadmead Care is working closely with Victoria Chinatown Care Centre’s leadership and Island Health to ensure a smooth and thoughtful transition.
