Dear Family and Friends of Veterans Memorial Lodge,
As you are aware, Island Health placed Veterans Memorial Lodge under Enhanced Surveillance Measures in response to a positive COVID-19 test for one of our team members.
During the following two weeks, all residents and staff in the impacted area were tested twice for COVID-19; within the first 48 hours, and again 7 days later. All tests were negative, and Island Health declared the Enhanced Surveillance Measures over on Monday, September 13, 2021.
We are grateful for the understanding and confidence the families of residents at Veterans Memorial Lodge had in us as we managed this situation.
As always, thank you for your support for Broadmead Care and our team members. At this time, COVID-19 is not in any of our homes. We continue to be vigilant, protecting the most vulnerable among us.
