Photo below, with a notation from Thomas’s family: Here is a picture of young Thomas, who had just turned 18 and was proud to serve his country. He was happy to join up and head to training in England. We don’t have many stories from Dad’s time in the army but each of us kids thank him for our sense of duty — and — that came directly from Dad.
*In October 2021, with care staff by his side, Thomas passed away. Like all veterans, Thomas gave up so much so that we can enjoy the freedoms we have today. It was our honour to support Thomas while he lived with Broadmead Care, and to continue to support his fellow veterans who live with us now.”
