On March 28, 2025, Provincial Health Officer Dr. Bonnie Henry declared the annual respiratory season officially over.
What you need to know
- Additional respiratory precautions are no longer required. Visitors and staff do not need to wear masks in resident areas, or for group activities.
- Staff will wear masks when providing care for residents who exhibit respiratory or other infectious disease symptoms, based on point-of-care risk assessments.
- We will continue to provide medical-grade face masks at all Homes, should you wish to wear one.
- You should continue to practice healthy habits to prevent illness from spreading, including:
- staying home when you are sick;
- cleaning hands by washing with soap, or using hand sanitizer; and,
- wearing a mask when appropriate.
