This year, as every year, our Purpose continues to be driven by compassion, care, and the unwavering belief that every person deserves dignity, comfort, and companionship.
One of these people is Patti (right, in the photo , with her sweetheart since high school, husband Gary). Patti, who is 72, has lived in Rest Haven Lodge, a Broadmead Care Home, for the past year-and-a-half. When Patti first arrived, she struggled to adapt to her new home. She is non-verbal, and she felt isolated, disconnected from the world she once knew, and uncertain about the future. She found it hard to express her needs. Thanks to the kindness and support of people like you, Patti’s story has taken a turn for the better.
Through personalized care, engaging activities, and specialized equipment made possible by donations like yours, Patti has found joy in small things again. She smiles when she participates in Creative Arts, and her face lights up during sessions with the musical entertainers. These moments, often fleeting in the fast-paced world around us, are invaluable in making her feel seen and heard.
But there are still many others like Patti – vulnerable people whose daily lives can sometimes feel lonely and uncertain. As we approach the end of 2024, we ask for your continued support to ensure that we can provide a safe and nurturing environment for all those in our care.
