Mary Beth moved to Beckley Farm Lodge, a Broadmead Care Home, in the summer of 2023. She needed more care than her loving husband, Bob, was able to give her at home. The Lodge is in their neighbourhood, so it seemed like a good fit.
Bob watched carefully how she settled in to Beckley Farm Lodge, and was grateful for how kind the staff were to her — and to him. Both people were adjusting to a new way of life! Mary Beth is pictured in the photo, on the right, with caring staff member, Gelard, on the left.
Bob was so impressed, that he was inspired to give a matching gift to help buy Care Foam chairs for use at Beckley Farm Lodge. “Mary Beth and I would always set aside a certain amount of money to donate. Sometimes you wonder where the money is going, and how it’s being used. At Beckley Farm Lodge, I know exactly where it’s going: to benefit the people who live and work there,” said Bob. Thanks to the generosity of people like you, that match is nearly full!
