We are taking the opportunity to review how we support current Family and Resident Council meetings within each of our Care Homes. We value the contributions you make through these Councils, and will continue to offer the opportunity to participate at each Home.
At the same time, the Ministry of Health has asked for support to create family run Councils at all care homes in the province. Their structure is a bit different from our current Councils, which we also plan to continue.
This is a bit of a ‘head’s up’ that your Care Home will be sending out an invitation next week, asking if you’d like to participate in this slightly different family run Council. If you’re interested, please watch your email box for your invitation, which will also contain more information about that Council.
