Dear Family and Friends,
We are writing to you today with an update about the Province’s recently released guidelines that expanded the definition of essential visitor.
As you all know, keeping COVID out of our Care Homes has required that only essential visitors are able to visit residents. We understand how difficult this has been for you and for your loved ones, and thank you for all you have done to keep connected.
Broadmead Care believes it is now very important to move forward, carefully and prudently. We are in the process of creating a well thought out plan for how we could expand visitation that will make sure everyone who lives or works in our Care Homes will be safe, and feel supported.
Working with Island Health and the Ministry of Health, we will ensure our approach is consistent with their guidelines, so we are ready to support these life-giving, in-person visits when we can, and we will continue to communicate with you about this as events unfold.
The safety and wellbeing of all who live and work in Broadmead Care Homes has been at the forefront of every decision we’ve made in the past few months. We will continue to act in the best interests of your loved ones and our staff.
In the meantime, please remember our Keep Connected program that allows you to send messages to your loved ones, and schedule video calls or window visits.
We thank you for your patience as we navigate never-before-seen circumstances, balancing the benefits of in-person visits with safety and wellbeing of the people who live and work in our Care Homes.
