I am writing further to the COVID-19 update today by Provincial Health Officer Dr. Bonnie Henry and Minister Adrian Dix.
What you need to know
I am delighted to let you know that visitation for long term care homes will be opened to all visitors, effective March 18, 2022. We are working on plans for how that will happen at each Care Home, and will provide more information as soon as we can.
Please note that when visits open:
- All regular visitors must be double-vaccinated. This means you are more than 14 days past your second dose.
- COVID-19 screening, including rapid testing, will continue to be required.
- All visitors will need to adhere to COVID-19 long term care protocols. You can learn more about these protocols on our website.
- In order to manage demand, appointments for testing may be required at some Care Homes.
What you need to do
Continue to check the COVID-19 Care Home Status Update page for the most current information. While this page is no longer updated daily, we will add information when it is available. We will also send another email communication to you when we have the details for visitation worked out at each Care Home.
It is our great pleasure to welcome you back, effective March 18, 2022. We are grateful for the continued support you have given us as we have worked diligently to keep safe everyone who lives and works at Broadmead Care Homes.
