On Sunday, October 8, 2023, Broadmead Care was once again privileged to be involved with one of Victoria’s largest events, the Royal Victoria Marathon. The sold-out event welcomed more than 9,000 runners and raised more than $100,000 for charities, including Broadmead Care!
We owe a huge thank you to our community for contributing more than $11,000 to Broadmead Care through our Marathon and Kms4Care fundraising efforts thus far. We are pleased to announce that we came in as the second highest fundraising charity. This would not be possible without the support of so many caring organizations and individuals in our community.
Many of the funds raised came to us through dedicated participants of Broadmead Care’s Kms4Care event. Kms4Care is Broadmead Care’s 35 kilometre challenge that empowers participants to get active and raise funds for Broadmead Care Homes. Many of our participants clock their kilometres at the Marathon events. We are grateful have a partner like the Royal Victoria Marathon that helps us highlight our Kms4Care fundraiser, and the inspiring people who are a part of it.
Kms4Care is happening now through the end of October. With more than $12,000 raised, thanks to an outstanding participant fundraising effort, we are closing in on our goal of $20,000 which will help fund activities and comforts that will enrich the lives of those who call Broadmead Care home.

You could find several Broadmead Care staff members, volunteers, and family members at the Royal Victoria Marathon on Sunday, October 8, 2023. From running in the races to handing out water on the course, our team was delighted to be involved in this remarkable event.
