Two weeks ago, Island Health placed Beckley Farm Lodge (BFL) and Veterans Memorial Lodge (VML) under Enhanced Surveillance Measures in response to a positive COVID-19 test for one team member in each Care Home.
During the following two weeks, testing was conducted of anyone who might have been in contact with the positive team member at BFL. All tests were negative. No one at VML was required to be tested. Everyone at both Care Homes was monitored for symptoms, residents twice daily. Island Health declared the Enhanced Surveillance Measures over on Monday, October 4, 2021, at both BFL and VML.
