Veterans Health Centre Day Program participant Ross Fetterly was featured through the Lookout Newspaper Veterans’ Corner series. Created in partnership with Broadmead Care, the series shares the stories of veterans who attend the Veterans Health Centre Day Program and those who call Veterans Memorial Lodge home.
Ross spent 34 years serving in the Canadian Armed Forces, building a distinguished career in logistics and finance that took him across Canada and overseas. His service included leadership roles with the Canadian Forces Snowbirds, a deployment to the Golan Heights with the United Nations, and a tour in Kandahar, Afghanistan. Following his military career, Ross continued his commitment to service and education, earning a PhD and teaching at the Royal Military College of Canada. His story highlights the importance of leadership, teamwork, and the lasting connections built through a lifetime of service.
