About Us

Broadmead Care is a non-profit society working in partnership with the Vancouver Island Health Authority, Veterans Affairs Canada and BC Housing to meet the health care needs of Veterans, seniors, adults with disabilities and members of our community.
 

We are the primary provider of Priority Access Beds for eligible Veterans on Vancouver Island, and are committed to providing the best possible care for our residents and clients in a high quality environment.

We own and operate:

The Lodge at Broadmead: A 229-bed residential care facility with 110 community beds, 115 Priority Access Beds for Veterans and 4 respite care beds for Veterans. In partnership with Veterans Affairs Canada, we provide a best practice Dementia Care Program.

Veterans Health Centre: A centre providing health, social, recreational and bath programs for Veterans living in the community.

Nigel Program for Adults with Disabilities: The program includes Nigel House, a residential care facility for 25 residents and Harriet House, a group home for 14 residents.
