Victor Cottrell

Victor Cottrell, 1929 – July 15, 2025

‘Vic’ was born in 1929 on the outskirts of Birmingham. In 1948 he joined the Royal Navy where he met Pam, while training to become a physiotherapist. In 1951 they married and a year later, I was born, followed by my brother Tony. We emigrated to Canada in 1970, where Dad joined the department of Physiotherapy in Saskatoon. After a successful career at the university, Dad retired and some time later, my parents moved to Victoria to settle on the Saanich peninsula. Sadly, we had lost my brother Tony, leaving his wife Adrienne (Rick) and their daughter Annie (Silas). Mum left us after a long illness in 2017. And Dad in turn passed away on July 15th, 2024 peacefully in his sleep.
Thanks, Dad, and a sincere thank you to Mum and Dad’s friends for your many kindnesses over the years! And thanks to the staff of the Cottage Garden Lodge at Broadmead for your wonderful care.

No service but interment to follow at Holy Trinity churchyard. In lieu of flowers, donations to the Broadmead Veterans’ Memorial Lodge would be appreciated. – David (Muriel)
