Would you like to contribute your leadership skills to growing the strengths and reach of Broadmead Care?

Who we are

We are a vibrant non-profit healthcare provider with a reputation for high quality, innovation and leading practices in long term care. We are committed to providing compassionate person-centered care: care that opens the door for extraordinary relationships to flourish and helps residents experience a sense of belonging, respect, and acceptance. We have developed an overarching philosophy – which we call The Broadmead Way – to help people live their lives as completely as possible while supported by excellent clinical care.

How we operate

Broadmead Care is funded by Island Health, Veterans Affairs Canada, BC Housing, and philanthropic donations.  Our annual operating budget is $44M. We operate five distinct care homes and provide a range of services including long term care and adult day programs for veterans and seniors, and long term care for adults with disabilities. Ground will soon be broken on a new $45 million campus of care at Nigel House to provide long term care, assisted living, and affordable housing.

Who we’re seeking

Our governance Board is seeking Directors to help us grow our services, community reach, and financial capability. Directors who are eager to step into leadership positions and who bring governance, financial, investment, project, or long-term medical care experience. Directors who help us better reflect the diversity of communities and experiences present in Victoria.
