After the long goodbye, Sandy passed away peacefully in his sleep on October 8, 2023. Sandy is survived by his wife, Linda, his children, son David (Karen) and daughter Lisa, much loved grandchildren, Alexander and Samuel, as well as many nieces and nephews.
In the early 60’s, Sandy and Linda moved to the Cowichan Valley where he was an active member of the community, serving as president for the Kinsmen, Gyros, and Chamber of Commerce. He was also a member of the North Cowichan Volunteer Fire Department. Sandy started selling real estate in 1967 and was an active realtor and broker for 49 years in both the Cowichan Valley and Victoria. Sandy and family returned to Victoria in the mid 80’s. He was a long time member of Victoria Fish & Game and South Vancouver Island Rangers.
As per Sandy’s wishes, there will be no service. The family wishes to thank all of those who took such great care of him at Veterans Memorial Lodge Broadmead. In lieu of flowers, please consider donating to Veterans Memorial Lodge.
