In October 2024, Broadmead Care surveyed families and friends of the people who live in our Homes to gather insights for ongoing quality improvement, service enhancements, and to provide valuable feedback to staff and Board members.
Hearing and understanding the perspectives of those with loved ones in Broadmead Care Homes is essential to delivering the highest quality care.
How the Survey Was Conducted
- Conducted via Survey Monkey, with a link emailed to all families of current residents.
- Paper copies were available at each Home for those who preferred to respond offline.
- The survey was open for three weeks.
- This year’s survey was nearly identical to the one used over the past four years, with one new question added: When you visit a Broadmead Care Home, do you feel like you matter?
- Consistent questions from past surveys allow us to compare results year-over-year.
- A total of 162 people responded.
Survey Details
- Responses were categorized into agree, neutral, or disagree based on ratings from strongly agree to strongly disagree.
- Respondents could request follow-up contact, and team members reached out to address any additional questions or concerns.
- Results will be shared with families and friends on our website, and at future family and resident councils.

Results
The graphs illustrate raw data, allowing comparisons across past surveys. Overall, the positive feedback reflects Broadmead Care’s dedication to providing exceptional care and maintaining open communication with families and friends.
Note
Due to the small sample size of respondents from Nigel House, their results have not been included as a separate Home and remain part of Broadmead Care’s overall results. Since many of the people who live at Nigel House make their own decisions about care, we have previously conducted a shorter survey with them directly. We plan to do this again this winter.
