Reporting to the Vice President of Human Resources, the Recruitment and Orientation Coordinator will be the leader in bringing high quality talent to Broadmead Care.  We are seeking a high performer with boundless energy who will lead the recruitment process from developing the hiring pipeline through to the onboarding and orientation process.  


The Recruitment and Orientation Coordinator is often the first point of contact for both employees and external customers and provides information and assistance on matters relating to employment at Broadmead Care.  We require an individual who values precision, has excellent organizational skills, and who has had previous success managing a robust workload, while handling frequent interruptions and working within tight timeframes.  The successful candidate will bring a positive “can do” attitude to work every day, and must be comfortable communicating both verbally and in writing with staff at all levels of the organization in a professional and confidential manner.


This position is excluded from the bargaining unit.  A competitive salary and a comprehensive benefits package will be offered to the successful candidate.




  • Secondary school graduation plus completion of a Certificate Program in Human Resources from a recognized post- secondary institution.
  • CPHR Designation is an asset



  • 3+ years’ experience in a unionized Human Resources environment, including experience with HRIS updates and maintenance.
  • Healthcare experience is an asset.
  • Solid understanding of collective agreements and applicable legislation.


Skills / Abilities:

  • Proficiency with system applications and MS Office programs including demonstrated Excel skills.
  • Demonstrated ability to analyze data and forecast trends
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • A satisfactory criminal  record check
