The Vancouver Island Nordic Pole Walkers raised more than $1,200 for Broadmead Care in Kms4Care this year.
They first heard about Kms4Care last year through team member Don, who volunteered for many years at Nigel House. As several of the club members were also aware of the programs and services offered through Broadmead Care and in particular, those at Nigel House, Kms4Care was selected as a worthy cause to support!
This event fit perfectly with their Nordic walking routine, and the money they raised will be used to help the families of two young residents at Nigel House have a special Holiday outing – complete with a visit from Santa, and pony rides!
