Grateful Family Program

Families and residents often ask us how they can say "thank you" for the outstanding compassion and care provided at Broadmead Care. Some express their appreciation with a hug, handshake or a note, but feel they want to do something more.

The Grateful Family Program is a new and meaningful way for you to show thanks through a gift, to honour the particular staff member, volunteer or department as a whole who made a difference for you, and to celebrate the care received.

Perhaps the staff you wish to thank was:

  • An extraordinary nurse, care provider or healthcare worker
  • A supportive therapist
  • An attentive activity worker
  • A helpful social worker
  • A caring volunteer
  • An outstanding physician
  • A thoughtful food service aid/ cheerful housekeeper
  • A department involved in your loved ones care

Each team member you thank through the Grateful Family Program will be honoured through:

  • A personal note recognizing their great care or service
  • Recognition in the Donor Recognition Book located in the Lobby of each Broadmead Care site—since you make your gift because of THEM
  • Recognition at a staff appreciation event

Your gift will help residents enjoy life to their fullest capacity. You contribute to:

  • Music & Memory, Expressive Arts and other activities where residents connect, communicate, participate, enjoy and express themselves
  • Specialized equipment and technology for highest comfort and safety
  • Buildings and renovations for a family-like, comfortable and accessible home environment
  • Continuing professional education to meet highest standards of care
