Rest Haven Lodge has 73 private resident rooms and several communal areas such as dining and activity rooms, lounge areas and a spacious, secure and fenced garden featuring a courtyard, walk ways and water fountain. The communal areas are great for family visits, socialising with other residents, or participating in the many activities that are offered each week.
Catching up with family and friends is an important part of life. Rest Haven Lodge welcomes residents and their families to celebrate special events at the lodge.
The resident rooms are located on the second and third floor. All rooms are single rooms designed for privacy while promoting community through easy access to common areas. Entrances and exits are wheelchair accessible and two elevators are available.
Each room has a two-piece ensuite washroom, an emergency call system, separate heat control and windows that open. Residents are free to decorate and personalize their private home space. Rooms on the third floor are equipped with overhead lifts for residents who need them for safe transfers. Staff use special equipment to assist residents with all levels of care with bathing and grooming.
A hairdresser offers services on site and televisions are located in each dining area.
Free visitor parking is available on the street in front of the building.
Residents contribute a monthly fee that is based on income according to a fee structure set by the British Columbia Ministry of Health. The fee covers accommodation, basic supplies and equipment, and meals. Residents can choose additional services - such as cable television, companion services and hairdressing – that are available on a fee-for-service basis. See below for those.
Most prescribed medications are covered under Pharmacare and are provided at no cost. Residents pay for medications not covered by Pharmacare.
Residents receive detailed information about all costs when an admission is made. We're here to help with any questions that may arise.
