Equipment  and  furnishings  to  enhance  safety  and comfort:

You can give the gift of a good night's sleep
At the end of a long day, you know how lovely it is to go to sleep in a warm and comfortable bed on a comfy mattress.  Your donation will help provide that comfort to the veterans, residents and adults with physical challenges served by Broadmead Care.  Each electric bed costs $5,000 - they allow residents to adjust their position independently rather than wait for a busy staff person to be able to help them.  They are also more comfortable and ease the strain on staff members providing care.  Mattresses cost $470 each - ten mattresses are neeeded at Nigel House to replace others that have worn out.  The new mattresses are more comfortable and are waterproof.

You can help replace outdated hospital equipment
Your donation will help provide the best possible care for veterans, seniors and adults by replacing old equipment with new models.  This equipment ensures residents feel secure, comfortable and that their dignity is preserved while receiving care.  Your gift will go toward:

Arjo Sara and Maxi Resident Lifts - these electric lifts move residents safely and comfortably from bed to wheelchair to toilet and back again $8,000 and $10,000 each
Medication carts - these carts help nurses deliver medications to the residents in a safe and efficient manner $5,500 each
30 Lift Slings - these comfortable slings are washable and 'cocoon' residents so they feel secure while being transferred $500 each
Therapeutic mattress - this special mattress helps prevent pressure sores $2,200
10 overbed tables - these tables allow residents of Nigel House to enjoy their meals while sitting up in bed  $200 each
1 Easy Stand Evolution lift - this lift allows residents of Nigel House to stand upright  $5,000
Small equipment - this lis includes batteries and motors for the electric lifts and beds  $15,000
