At Broadmead Care Society, volunteers play a vital role in the social wellbeing of our residents and clients. We are grateful to the 200 volunteers who deliver approximately 900 to 1,000 hours of service every month, helping our residents and clients in countless ways.

We strive to make this a place volunteers like to come to, a place recognized in the community for excellence in care and a healthy volunteer work environment. We include volunteers as valued members of our health care team, providing opportunities for personal growth and education, friendship and fulfillment.
Our volunteers reflect the diversity of our community. We help them to find a role that suits their unique talents, abilities, interests and lifestyles. Our volunteers learn and take on new challenges at a level that is comfortable and enjoyable for them.
We know how busy people’s lives can be, and strive to be as flexible and accommodating as possible to everyone’s schedule and personal goals.
We also provide opportunities for:
- Busy families to spend time together in community service (our residents love to see young children);
- People with special needs to make positive contributions; and
- Local businesses to encourage their staff to volunteer and develop a sense of social responsibility.
