OpportunitiesThere are many ways to make a positive contribution to the lives of seniors and Veterans at our facilities. There are opportunities for people of all ages and abilities, whether you like to work in a group, interact one-on-one with residents, help out with special events or assist with administrative duties.

The Lodge at Broadmead volunteers support staff, to provide 30 programs for residents, including: music, garden club, creative arts, refreshment service, recreational activities and outings. Specially trained volunteers provide meal-time assistance, palliative care, and dementia-care assistance.  Others visit, read or play games with residents on a one to one basis. 

Veterans Health Centre volunteers help staff with activities, programs and outings during the day or evening for community-based clients.

Broadmead Care Foundation volunteers assist with financial administration, grants research, and fundraising events.
